The Midland Hotel & St Annes Church Manchester Summer City Wedding Rebecca & Peter

The Midland Hotel & St Anns Church Wedding

Peter & Rebecca

Bride and Groom The Midland Hotel Manchester Staircase

I met up with Rebecca & Peter about a month before their big day and discovered they had only just set the date for their Manchester Midland Hotel wedding day!

They did such an incredible job of pulling everything together in just six weeks but having postponed a number of times already they were determined this one was happening no matter what!

What a day it was! They chose the absolutely gorgeous Midland Hotel as their venue, its one of my favourite buildings in Manchester any day of the week but this particular weekend the entire hotel and all of the surrounding streets were absolutely buzzing, packed with amazing excited people wishing them both congratulations as it was Manchester Pride weekend!

One of the oldest and grandest churches in Manchester, St Anns is absolutely steeped in history and having met up with the lovely Revd Nigel just before the service I now also know some amazing facts, such as the tower of the church marks the exact centre of the city from which all other locations are benchmarked!

After arriving in style in a vintage Rolls Royce they were married with sunlight streaming through the windows during their ceremony. Rebecca’s dad Ian led her down the aisle at St Anns beaming with pride and after saying ‘I do!’ it was back to The Midland for speeches, a surprise ‘singing waiter’ experience and the wedding breakfast.

As night set in we hit the streets for a ten minute wander amongst the masses! I had parked in a carpark just behind the hotel and when I mentioned the brick arches would make for a great shot Rebecca and Peter were suspiciously enthusiastic lol!

We took some great photographs under there and then stopped off on the way back to capture the Manchester Central building lit up in rainbow colours for pride and dodged the trams for a silhouette shot in front of the Midland.

It was such a fun and relaxed day, you were both amazing and so easy going I absolutely loved every minute!

Thank you both for having me along for the ride, I hope you enjoy this sneak preview and that it brings back lots of happy memories!
