The Hurt Arms Stunning Winter Wedding Photography
The Hurt Arms Derby Winter Wedding Photography
Andy & Phallon
I’m sure Andy & Phallon didn’t expect the Met Office to declare a selection of severe weather warnings for heavy snow, wind and hail on their big day but as it turned out yesterday storm Arwen had other ideas!
I woke up to a good covering of snow outside the house so set off with plenty of time and arrived at the gorgeous Boothswood Farm, just a few miles from their chosen venue, The Hurt Arms.
Considering all that was going on with the weather Phallon and the bridal party were unbelievably chilled out and it was a really lovely morning just snapping all the laughs and smiles as everything came together.
Before we knew it Phallons dad arrived followed closely by the gorgeous VW camper van to take them off to The Hurt Arms.
I arrived to find Andy and his best man, brother Fred, waiting nervously in the wedding ceremony room. I absolutely love the industrial feel of The Hurt Arms, so many lovely little features from the old filament lamp bulbs to the awesome bare brick walls, it all comes together to give a cosy and intimate feel. In no time at all the registrars were set, Phallon came down the aisle looking amazing and they both finally got to say ‘I do!’ in front of all their closest family and friends.
Thankfully The Hurt Arms has a nice warm heated marquee, it was zero degrees outside so we had a quick warm before going for a wander for some photographs of the new Mr & Mrs Symcox.
Romantic photographs in freezing weather with 60mph gales are not the easiest to do and the fields were flooded and off limits but Phallon was an absolute star and we captured some absolutely gorgeous pictures as the sun made an appearance for just a few minutes.
Phallon & Andy, thanks for having me along for the day, I absolutely loved every minute. Phallon you looked incredible, you both have amazing family and friends and The Hurt arms looked absolutely beautiful.
I hope this little sneak preview brings back lots of happy memories and I’ll be in touch again as soon as your full gallery is completed.
