Amy & Mark were married at the gorgeous Cockliffe House in Nottinghamshire
Hidden away in the heart of Sherwood’s finest woodland Cockliffe House is the perfect location for a beautiful winter wedding and I arrived to find Amy and their lovely daughter Molly (aka Sausage Face) adding the finishing touches to the ceremony room and putting the wedding cake together.
Amy was a seriously chilled out bride, Molly was an absolute joy all morning getting involved in all the excitement and everything came together perfectly, just finishing up on hair and makeup as Mark and his best man arrived at the venue.
Before we knew it the time arrived to say ‘I do!’ and Amy made her way down the stair looking absolutely stunning to see her dad for the first time. It was so nice to see loads of emotion during their ceremony, with Marks reaction on seeing Amy walking down the aisle giving me a bit of a leaky eye too! Rings exchanged and vows complete it was out front for confetti and champagne.
It was a proper winters day, absolutely freezing and plenty of rain but that didn’t stop us getting out for some gorgeous photographs and Cockliffe House has so many options for indoor pictures too.
This was my last wedding for 2021 and what a way to see the year out, amazing family and friends, fantastic live music and the grand finale…. Amy had arranged for a surprise fire display act which saw Mark on his knees with burning chains being spun past his head haha!! Absolutely amazing!

I am based in Mansfield so its just down the road but for guests travelling a little further its a really convenient location for Nottingham City Centre and Mansfield (each 7 miles away) whilst still but offering a peaceful and private environment in 3 acres of private grounds.

The main ceremony room is fantastic for photography, in summer the natural light floods in through the large glass windows doors open out into the beautiful gorunds. For winter weddings the chandeliers, twinkle lights and wall lamps all combine to create a gorgeous backlit stage to say ‘I Do!’ in front of all of your family and friends. As a professional Nottingham wedding photographer I use discreet lighting and techniques to ensure that you are both perfectly lit as you say your vows without taking away from the ambiance of the room.
