They obviously didn’t know it when they picked the date at Portland College and to be fair every couple hopes for nice weather, but yesterday Toni & Tommy were married on the hottest day of the year in Nottingham so far!
It was a real scorcher and Portland College in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire has an absolutely gorgeous outdoor pagoda, covered in summer flowers it looked absolutely stunning when I called in early in the morning for a look around.
Suffice to say I was really excited when I saw we could make use of the adjacent grounds around Sherwood Forest.
Toni and the bridal party got ready at home, the soundtrack of the morning was her dads epic singing! He had me laughing all morning and before we new it the makeup was all done, the ladies looked stunning and Tommy’s Grandad arrived in a beautiful Rolls Royce to take Toni to the venue.
The ceremony was just stunning, Portland College is just such a relaxed, surrounded by woodland and with its very own awesome donkey! The couple said ‘‘I’Do’’, the confetti was thrown (with Tommy’s face being suspiciously targeted haha!) and then everyone sat back and relaxed with drinks and some lovely live music.

Unfortunately the guidelines around Covid are not to be relaxed for a few more days so after enjoying the sunshine and drinks family and friends made their way home and we decided to make the most of the woodland and set of exploring Sherwood Forest!
I need to say a massive thanks to Tommy & Toni, I had an idea for a photograph with the drone and when I asked if they would be willing to lay on a picnic blanket in the middle of the woods they were totally up for it and after much laughter manoeuvring Toni onto a picnic blanket we got this gorgeous shot.
With that lovely shot captured we set off for more natural candid’s of just the two of them in the heart of Sherwood Forest and with the golden light and epic tall trees we were spoilt for choice!
I hope this little sneak preview brings back lots of happy memories for you both, it really was an absolutely gorgeous day!
